Vegas Neon Icon

$22.00

A classy, stylish shirt depicting some of downtown Vegas’ most famous icons. This shirt, made by Canvas, is super soft and incredibly durable.

Like the neon you’ll find all around Vegas (and real neon still reigns king in downtown Las Vegas, especially), this shirt is dark, but the icons it depicts shine bright against the backdrop.

You’ll be proud to wear this shirt while in Vegas, but most importantly, you’ll wear it when you get home, too.

Description

It’s a Canvas, unisex shirt. So yeah — it’s soft and really durable. This baby holds up. It runs slightly longer than your average shirt. It’s got a slightly fitted shape, but we kind of hate to even say that because it’s so minor. But if you’re between sizes you may prefer to go up one.

Like the neon you’ll find all around Vegas (and real neon still reigns king in downtown Las Vegas, especially), this shirt is dark, but the icons it depicts shine bright against the backdrop.

It’s hard to find good representations of these two renegades and the shirt’s almost guaranteed to get attention. Everyone will appreciate that it “feels” Vegas, but true Vegas fans will appreciate it for what it represents.

You’ll be proud to wear this shirt while in Vegas, but most importantly, you’ll wear it when you get home, too.

Forget wearing shirts from your favorite rock bands — these are the true legends that deserve recognition. And wearing a shirt with them is just as cool (okay, cooler.)

Vegas has many icons. And we’re talking about beyond just ye old favorite — the Las Vegas Merch Co. We’re a newer icon.

From the Rat Pack and Elvis to Steven Wynn, Vegas Vic and Vegas Vickie, to the street names and the hotels themselves, Vegas has a rich and wonderful history.

Let’s dig into a bit more detail about two of the Vegas Icons we mentioned:

Vegas Vic —

The first on the scene, this cowboy showed up in the early fifties outside the Pioneer Club — part of the downtown Las Vegas area that now encompasses the Fremont Street experience.

He used to say, “Howdy Podner!” as people walked by, but rumors say he was silenced for a movie production decades ago and hasn’t spoken since.

Just looking at Vegas Vic, you get a sense of old town Las Vegas and the good times you can have downtown.

Vegas Vickie —

The sexier of the two, depending on who you ask, Vegas Vickie is also some 30 years younger. Glitter Gulch is a nickname of the main downtown Las Vegas drag that became the Fremont Street experience, but Vegas Vickie was originally placed outside the actual Glitter Gulch Casino when it existed.

Vic and Vickie actually got married in the nineties. Though now that Vickie’s made a new home inside of the Circa, rumors have circled about a possible split.
